NEWEST UPDATES:
11/30/11 We have a pick of the litter male from a friend in Missouri available (see available pups page).. AND...Minerva is bred to Rousseau and due Dec. 28th. The server for the website has moved. They are working on correcting the photo issues (I know many are not showing yet...they are still linked to a different IP address.
I am trying to get the website updated now that we are up to a crew of 14. But between teaching, grad school, and pups I often run out of time. Often, the most recent updates hit facebook first. IF you are a user, please add me as a friend using the link below.

We are lovers of the English Mastiff breed and have seven of our own mastiffs (and a few other pets) in southwestern Michigan. We co-own another 6 of our crew with other families of the same mindset. Some might think we're nuts, but our animals are ALL inside-although they regularly romp their 5 acre plot running after frogs, and after the cranes and the geese that fly by.
OUR BOYS
At 5, Voltaire is 230 lbs. He is 34 inches at the shoulder.. He was Penn Hipped on September 14th, 2007 and there is no evidence of djd (degenerative joint disease) or cavitation. He was cerf'd and cardiac cleared November, 2008. He is an AKC American Champion and it sure didn't take him long to achieve that. Voltaire is an apricot.
At 1, Rousseau is 210 pounds and a record 38" at the shoulder. In truth, we've never had a mastiff grow this quickly and it's been a bit scary at times. He is the product of a breeding between Voltaire and a Tamarack/Mystique girl from Eternal Mastiffs. Rousseau is an apricot.
Winston is 9 months and slow growing (thank heavens, after Rousseau has scared us half to death). He is 32" at the shoulder and 150. He still has a LOT of growing to do. Winston is an Apricot Brindle. Orson Wells is a boy from Voltaire and Guinevere. He has thick, heavy bone and we are anxious to see how he matures. He was born 7/29/11. He is a fawn brindle.
And our newest baby is only 5 weeks old. He is from the same pairing that Rousseau was produced from. He doesn't even have a name, yet ;o) I will update when I have more information on him. His color hasn't even matured at this point, so I hesitate to say if he's fawn or apricot.
OUR GIRLS
Billie is 175 lbs. and is 28 at the shoulder at 7 yrs. She was Penn Hipped on September 7th, 2007 and there is no evidence of djd (degenerative joint disease) or cavitation. Her grand-dam was 220 and and she threw large pups based on those and Voltaire's genetics. We are currently breeding the girls we kept back from her; Macy, Athena and Jasmine. Billie has been retired for the last 2 years.
Macy, Athena, and Jasmine are all large and beautiful siblings who have been kept back for our breeding program. All will be 4 in December, 2011. Athena and Jasmine are about 30 inches and are both in the 170-180 range. Macy is almost 34 inches and is about 165.
Minerva is our smallest, most athletic girl and is just under 150. She throws pups much larger than herself, although her litters are small. She is 30" at the shoulder and has excellent angulation.
Guinevere comes from outside our lines and was 185 lbs. at a year and a half, 34 inches tall. Almost all her immediate lineage are championed.
Matilda just turned 1 this summer. She is also outside of our lines. She is 140, 31" at the shoulder, and still growing.
Gabby turned one this fall. She is co-owned and I need to get her updated stats!
All of our pups come with a 2 year written health guarantee, are vet checked, have their 8 week puppy shots, and are microchipped. Our animals are our babies and we treat them that way. Our litters are limited and we only place pups in homes that plan on treating their mastiff lovingly and as a member of their family. If you are interested in one of our puppies, please fill out the mastiff questionnaire and we will add you to our update list.
We hope this site will give you some useful foundation information on the English Mastiff and a great idea of the lines our babies come from. We certainly enjoyed creating it!
